Birtvisi winery

Birtvisi Winery represents a new concept of modern and traditional winemaking, located in Kvemo Kartli, Georgia, an area with an 8,000-year history of wine and adjacent to the Birtvisi Natural Monument. During the construction of the cellar, numerous artifacts were discovered in the area (remains of pitchers and clay vessels. The cellar was built by the owners in 2023-2024, with eco-conceptual approaches, using modern and traditional materials and construction technologies (grassland and rammed earth). Which determine the energy-efficient and sustainable function of the cellar and at the same time an element of interior design. Every detail and inventory of the cellar was created directly by the owners. Various sized qvevris were specially made for the cellar, for making and storing wine, with a total capacity of 8 tons. The cellar is also equipped with the necessary inventory for managing the full cycle of modern winemaking, which allows for the production of natural, premium quality wines. Every year, the cellar produces natural wines made from internationally certified organic grapes, which can be tasted against the backdrop of beautiful views, both in the indoor tasting room and outdoors. As part of our social responsibility, we have planted and restored the local extinct grape variety "Ktsiis Tetri" in terraces on a small plot of land, which will be continue in the future;
