Always OpenGoderdzishvili Wine Cellar — Family Winemaking Since 1899
Goderdzishvili Wine Cellar is located in Bakurtsikhe, a village in the Gurjaani municipality of Kakheti, Georgia. Built by the family’s ancestors in 1899, the historic cellar preserves a winemaking heritage carried forward by the current generation.
The family owns vineyards and makes wine from indigenous Georgian grape varieties, including Rkatsiteli, Kakhuri Mtsvane, and Saperavi. Its range includes traditional, tannin-rich qvevri wines alongside lighter European-style wines, rosé, and semi-dry wines.
In the historic cellar and tasting space, guests can sample the family’s wines and traditional Georgian dishes, try their hand at making churchkhela—nuts dipped in thickened grape juice—and bake bread in a traditional tone oven. Other activities offer a closer look at local life and customs.
Goderdzishvili Wine Cellar invites visitors to discover Kakheti through family stories, wine, Georgian cuisine, and warm hospitality.
