Khashmi, Kakheti | Established: 18th century
Tedo Papa’s Marani is more than just a wine cellar — it is a place where time stands still and centuries-old history turns into wine.
The marani dates back to the 18th century, when it was bequeathed to our family by the noble Choloqashvili family, one of Georgia’s most distinguished aristocratic lineages. Since then, it has remained a sacred space for preserving tradition and heritage.
Today, Tedo Papa’s Marani is a small, family-owned winery producing premium natural wines using traditional Georgian methods.
Visitors have the unique opportunity to taste:
🍷 Saperavi from the Khashmi Controlled Appellation Zone – deep, rich, and full of character.
🍇 Rkatsiteli – from old vines, with the sun, wind, and soul of the Kakhetian land in every sip.
The marani also functions as a mini Georgian ethnographic museum. Guests can explore ancient tools, household items, winemaking artifacts, and family heirlooms — each telling a story of Georgian life and culture.
Every object lives.
Every bottle speaks.
Every visit becomes a memory.
