About
Always OpenThe family winery “Ana-Teo” represents a multi-generational family business with roots dating back to 1959. It was in that year that our family began producing wine and chacha (Georgian grape pomace brandy) using grapes harvested from our own vineyards and following the traditional qvevri winemaking method.
In 1997, our activity took on a commercial character. Initially, we produced 200 liters of wine for sale. As demand steadily increased, production expanded year by year, and today we produce up to 25 tons of wine and 7 tons of chacha annually.
Alongside the development of production, interest from international tourists in our family winery has also grown. The number of visitors increases every year, and in recent years we have hosted up to 5,000 guests annually.
In 2015, in response to customer demand, we established a family café where we offer local Kobuleti traditional dishes and conduct culinary masterclasses for our guests.
For the 2025 tourist season, we expanded our activities by building a family guesthouse. We offer well-equipped apartments, a cozy environment, and warm family hospitality. The guesthouse features two comfortable apartments. Each includes:
• A studio-style kitchen and living area
• A separate bedroom
• A private bathroom
Prices are determined seasonally and upon agreement.
Since 2025, Café-Winery “Ana-Teo” has been a member of Mzis Kari.
Mzis Kari creates a gastronomic guide by identifying authentic family-run establishments across the regions of Georgia, with an important mission: to preserve the country’s culinary heritage, support regional entrepreneurs, and foster cultural exchange between guests and hosts.
It is a great honor for us to be part of the Mzis Kari network. We are especially proud to be the first establishment in Adjara to receive official member status. This recognition further strengthens our commitment to maintaining tradition, quality, and hospitality at the highest level.
Family Winery “Ana-Teo” is a multifunctional space that combines a winery, café, and guesthouse. This allows visitors to discover Georgian traditions, viticulture and winemaking culture, local cuisine, and authentic family life all in one place.
We offer a 30-minute educational tour during which guests:
• Learn about the history of Georgian viticulture and winemaking
• Discover how our ancestors produced wine and chacha and what tools they used
• Explore both traditional qvevri and modern production processes
• Observe the bottling process and, if they wish, participate themselves
• Learn about the history and technology of qvevri production
At the end of the tour, guests are invited to enjoy a wine and chacha tasting.
Following the tasting, we host guests with local Adjarian dishes. Upon request, we conduct masterclasses in preparing Adjarian khachapuri and khinkali, where guests actively participate in the cooking process and then enjoy the dishes they have prepared themselves.
