Berozas Wine

The "Beroza's wine" wine cellar is in one of the oldest villages in Kakheti - Velistsikhe. It's more than two centuries old and to this day retains its old appearance. It can hold up to 30 tonnes of wine. The cellar has been hosting visitors since 2010. It was legally registered on December 26 - 2018 as Ltd "Manana". We are involved in the Wine route project with the assistance of the Tourism Agency. We offer visitors Georgian (Kakhetian) traditional cuisine, seven types of wine to taste and a masterclass for making churchkhela. On request we can invite folk dancing and music ensemble as well as traditional Georgian songs with guitar. Wine production in our family was on a very high level and so with each generation the tradition went on. This has not changed, every autumn Zura Berozashvili makes Mtsvane, Rkatsiteli, Khikhvi, Kisi and Saperavi wines. The first Georgian family wine festival was held in 2009 where our Rkatsiteli wine got the highest rating of all. In 2009 when the vice president of the USA Joe Biden visited Georgia and during his speech drank our Rkatsiteli dry white wine. After this our wine was often referred to as "baidenuri" Our Semi Sweet Red wine won the highest degree diploma in the international wine festival held in Bulgaria in 2015. In 2017 an association "Georgian wine" held an international Qvevri wine festival where our Qvevri Saperavi won a gold medal. In 2018 Georgian Chamber of Culture held the first chacha(brandy) festival where our chacha and brandy won a silver and a bronze medal. In may of 2019 "Beroza's Wine" was one of the first to be chosen to be given the "Georgian Quality" and "Traditional Product" seals. Our Rkatsiteli - Qvevri White Dry wine, Mtsvane - Qvevri White Dry, Khikhvi White Dry and Saperavi Qvevri Red Dry Wines got the "Georgian Quality" seal, and the Saperavi Red Sweet Fortified Wine got the "Traditional Quality" seal. In the 2019 Qvevri Wine International Festival our Rkatsiteli, Khikhvi and Saperavi won bronze medals In February of 2020 World Wine Exhibition was held in Berlin where "Beroza's Wine“ received a positive response and entered the catalogue as the best wine In 2021 the wine "Baidenuri" was made in response to Joseph Bidens inauguration and was presented in the Embassy of the USA to be shown at diplomatic visits. In 2020 "Beroza's Wine" was sent to the USA, in particular to Pennsylvania and Minnesota for tasting and presenting where it was announced as the best wine. In 2021 our wine was sent to Italy, Milan where it received highest rating from restaurateurs, sommeliers and buyers who tasted the wine.
